What is 5K?
5K is a distance that is often seen in ​foot races, such as the Olympics. But you don't need to run at full speed for this program. It is recommended to walk briskly!
5K is approximately 3 miles, and most adults can walk 5K in about one hour. That is 20 minutes per mile, or 3 miles per hour. It is a pace where you can have a conversation without running out of breath. This is definitely a good goal: to be able to walk 5K every few days.
